How can I add/change a class?

When do classes start?
Classes will start in September/October. Check the class schedule page or talk to your coaches in Google Classroom about the schedule.
Where do the classes meet?
Each event class meets on a different day/time, and potentially in a different room, please check the Class Schedule page (also linked on the top menu) or with your coach in Google Classroom for the latest information. Some classes are in-person at Meadowbrook; others are virtual, some builds are off-campus location or other PUSD school gyms for practicing.
How can I find out what my students events are?
All parents will receive a confirmation email with the events/classes they are signed up for. Look for the Google Classroom invites to join the classroom for your events. Coaches will coordinate class meet times or Zoom links through the Google Classroom.
How many events can a student have?
A student can pick between 2 and 5 events; however, 3 events is generally most manageable for students. Note that build events require an increased time commitment, so we recommend only 1-2 build events at maximum.
Can a student pick just 1 event?
To be competitive, a team must compete in as many of the 23 events as they can. When students are signed up for just 1 event, it makes it difficult for the team to cover all 23 events. On average, students on a competitive team will participate in ~3 events. We may not have space in our competition teams for students that are participating in a single event. That being said, we still would like you to sign up. Our goal is to encourage students to engage with science and perhaps they will participate in more events next year.
What are Concurrent (aka “Conflict”) Events?
Concurrent events are events that take place at the same time at the competitions. Students cannot compete in events that are in the same conflict group. See the table on the Events page for Conflict Events for this year.
How do I register more than one student in the same family?
You can add multiple students to your registration account.
